Key note speaker

Swami Ishwarananda is the current acharya of Chinmaya Mission Southern California. He met pujyagurudev swami Chinmayananda in 1987 and at once got inspired to pursue spirituality. It was love at first sight! While continuing his career in software consultancy in Bangalore, he actively participated in youth activities of Chinmaya mission. After 5 years of serving as a volunteer, he joined the vedanta course in sandeepanysadhanalaya, Mumbai in 1991. He was posted as Acharya of CM Kolkata in 1993. He became Acharya of CM Los Angeles in 1995. Swamiji was given samnyasadeeksha by pujyaGuruji swami Tejomayananda in the year 2000 and he taught the vedanta course in sandeepanysadhanalaya Mumbai from 2002 to 2004. Swamiji authored several books including Conscious Living, Silent Search and pathways to peace. His commentaries on mukunda mala and Guru Stotram are very lucid and inspiring. Swamiji’s book- Life of I has created a new style of presenting the deep philosophy of vedanta as a story of a seeker. He regularly conducts workshops on this subject.Swamiji is a dynamic speaker and has given talks on Vedanta, stress and mind management, management techniques, and related topics. His clarity in Vedanta is apparent in his talks as he presents with ease, humor, and wit, complex philosophical subjects. Swami Ishwarananda also serves as one of the directors of Chinmaya mission West that oversees the activities in North America.

Ronobir Lahiri

Music

Ronobir Lahiri has been playing sitar for 25 years. After intense classical training in Calcutta, India, under Sri Deepak Choudhuri, the preeminant disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar, he returned to the USA and made a departure from the strict classical form. With a head full of Indian melody, he began to explore the parallels between the cyclical narrative form of raga and tala, and brought on board the hypnotic, relentless evolving repitition of house music. Drawing inspiration from Philip Glass, Jerry Garcia, Miles Davis, among others, the new album, “Hypnosis,” is an epic blend of Indian and club, creating an auditory environment that is at once uplifting and meditative, energetic and chilled out, spiritual and intensely viceral. Hypnosis will be released on the Hearts of Space label, for Valley Entertainment. In 2013 he was featured on Katy Perry’s album Prism, the song “Legendary Lovers,” and plays a eloquent sitar solo on Ziggy Marley’s 2014 album Fly Rasta, the song “Sunshine.” He performed at the Hollywood Bowl in 2013 with the Blue Man Group and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Sitar-driven deep progressive house.

About The Heartfulness Way

Building on ageless oral tradition, Kamlesh D. Patel – widely known as Daaji, the fourth guru in the Heartfulness tradition – traces a seeker’s journey as he examines the nature of spiritual search. Through a series of illuminating conversations between a teacher and a student, Daaji reveals the principles of the Heartfulness practice and philosophy to Joshua Pollock, a Heartfulness practitioner and trainer.

If you knew there was a practical way to transcend suffering and fly into the sky of hope and contentment, would you be interested?

That is exactly what Heartfulness offers – transforming us from the inside out so that we see the world in a new way, without the filters of our limitations.
