AN ART ESSAY
JASMEE MUDGAL reflects on her love for Rumi, the much-loved 13th-century Persian poet.
Rumi’s poetry has always touched my heart. Every line has some deep meaning, which also resembles my life. It looks simple, but every aspect reveals something real and mystical, and that’s what I am also looking for.
I decided to paint Rumi, and I envisioned him as a colorful being. When I think about spirituality, I want to paint all the colors in my palette onto the canvas.
