The United Nations General Assembly, with India as a co-sponsor, has declared December 21 as World Meditation Day. The day coincides with the winter solstice, a day significant in Indian culture for agricultural tradition and astronomical observation. On such an auspicious day, we will celebrate the ancient tradition of Sahaj Marg and Heartfulness meditation practices for inner peace and balance.
As the UN has declared, the Heartfulness Institute is also dedicating the day to spreading awareness about meditation and how it can regulate our emotions and bring calmness and relaxation amidst the demands of modern life.
This year, on World Meditation Day, join us in bringing the light of yoga and meditation into every heart and every home.
