Marilyn Monk
Marilyn is Emeritus Professor of Molecular Embryology at University College London. She has researched life at the level of molecules and at a cellular level. Her work as a scientist over 60 years has involved DNA replication and repair, the genetics of bacteria and their viruses, amoeboid cell signaling and aggregation, single cell molecular biology and pre-implantation diagnosis, stem cells and regenerative medicine, gene transcription and epigenetic regulation in embryonic development, and the development of a prophylactic cancer vaccine.
