The 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bhadur Ji is being commemorated as a national initiative to honour his martyrdom in defence of religious freedom and human dignity. Sri Guru Tegh Bhadur Ji's martyrdom in 1675 stands as a defining moment in history, symbolising moral courage, tolerance, and the protection of the rights of all faiths. His supreme martyrdom, along with that of Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji, remains a timeless testament to the values of pluralism and righteousness.To mark this historic 350th anniversary, the Government of India is observing a year-long commemoration from 24 November 2025 to 24 November 2026, aimed at inspiring citizens — particularly youth and students — to reflect upon and imbibe these enduring values. “Heartfulness Institute and Ministry of Culture extends a warm and heartfelt invitation to our Sikh brothers and sisters across the globe.
