A Thought

The earliest and staunchest advocates of nonviolence to trees in India, or anywhere in the world, have been the Jain saints. They have maintained, ‘Don’t think of trees as raw materials for furniture, houses, or boats. Think of them as beautiful sentient beings full of life, giving life and nourishing life. Respect them as souls.
