About Babuji

A Spiritual Scientist Par Excellence

Ram Chandra of Shahjahanpur (1899-1983), fondly known as Babuji, was a yogi hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Northern India.

He dedicated the majority of his life to the development and propagation of a unique method of Raja Yoga meditation known as Sahaj Marg.

In 1945, with a vision to spread this spiritual practice, he founded the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, an organization named in honor of his spiritual teacher, who also bore the name Ram Chandra. Beyond his spiritual teachings, Babuji's life was marked by humility, dedication, and a deep commitment to guiding individuals on their inner journeys.
