Celebrating 75 years
of our organization
Heartfulness is to live by the heart. It is supported by a set of practices that directly bring us inner peace and love within. The four practices that form the foundation of the method are relaxation, meditation, mental detox or cleaning, and connecting with the higher self through prayer. Together they support awareness of the heart while regulating mental and emotional disturbance and overactivity. After these are mastered, there are a number of additional practices that take us deeper into a heartful way of life.
This system of practical training emerged in the 1890s through the research of a spiritual prodigy named Shri Ram Chandra, known as Lalaji by his family and friends. While he was still a boy, Lalaji's research led him to rediscover the ancient art of Transmission of spiritual energy, and he integrated Transmission or pranahuti into the practices that he offered. One of the people he trained, coincidentally also named Ram Chandra, became his successor and representative in the lineage of Heartfulness Guides. Babuji, as he was fondly known, further refined and simplified the method his guide had given, retaining the essence, the spiritual essentials. He gave us the core practices known as Sahaj Marg Raja Yoga, which form the basis of the Heartfulness practices we know today. Babuji founded the Shri Ram Chandra Mission in 1945, a non-profit organization he named after his Guide, Lalaji.
To commemorate the 75 years of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, let us all come together to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lalaji Maharaj. Celebrations in Heartfulness are simple, silent occasions where thousands of seekers meditate together. On this very special occasion, the new Meditation Hall will be inaugurated at our world headquarters, Kanha Shanti Vanam, an international village, located near Hyderabad India.
The celebrations will be held at Kanha Shanti Vanam in two batches. If you are over 15 years of age, you are invited to register for any one batch, based on your convenience. If you are not able to attend the event, please join us online from wherever you are.

No fees are ever requested for training or participation. The Heartfulness Movement is supported and maintained entirely through voluntary donations and publication sales.
Please donate online at https://donations.heartfulness.org.
You can also donate at your local centre. Zones and Centres are also encouraged to donate in kind, e.g. a Zone can come forward and take care of supplying rice for the celebrations. For donations to kanha inauguration fund please send email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Kanha Shanti Vanam is around 40 kilometres from Hyderabad, and is well connected by rail, road and air. For the convenience of visitors, shuttle services will be arranged from the airport and the major rail stations at Secunderabad, Kacheguda, Vikarabad and Shadnagar. Participants are requested to provide accurate information regarding their travel so as to help plan the logistics.
We invite you to practise intensely in preparation for the celebration: take regular sittings, be absorbed in the meditative state as much as possible, read the Heartfulness literature, and make positive suggestions in your free time. One very effective way to prepare is to participate in #90DaysOfHeartfulness.
This is a great opportunity to render service by volunteering. There are more than 50 different volunteering activities during the celebrations. For these celebrations, we request the volunteers from a couple of adjacent Zones/centres to come forward as a team and take up an activity, e.g. preparing the meditation hall, registrations, etc.
Zonal Coordinators would be coordinating with the volunteers from their Zones and an additional registration link would be shared for the volunteers, which would capture the volunteering area and the duration of stay for the volunteers.
