Collaboration

10th November marked the beginning of a collaboration between Heartfulness Institute & HCCB, in the area of afforestation and conservation. A special event was held at Kanha Shanti Vanam to mark the occasion. Top leadership of HCCB including Neil Comerford, Executive Director attended the event along with the Forests By Heartfulness director, Dr. V. Ramakantha. Heartfulness guide Daaji also graced the event and interacted with both the teams (HCCB & FBH) and provided valuable guidance. The event concluded with a token plantation of certain rare & endangered plant species.

 

Poise Program

A POISE program was held for a group of 77 Principals and Regional Coordinators of Tribal Welfare and Social welfare schools of Telangana from 31st to 9th Nov 2022 at Kanha Shanti Vanam. POISE is a signature leadership development training program for schools leaders (Principals, Vice Principals & Head Office officials) hosted by Heartfulness Education Trust. It is a combination of specialised sessions for P-Personal, O-Organisational, I-Inner, S-School, and E-Education sections. Earlier editions of this program were organised in September and October. School leaders of TSWREIS, TTWREIS & EMRS of the Telangana Social Welfare & Telangana Tribal Welfare depts. attended the program. POISE is planned to cover all school leaders of TSWREIS & TTWREIS. They have covered 200+ participants uptil now from all over Telangana. It is planned to cover a further 250+ participants in next 2-3 months.

Each batch is unique. It is a mix of youth starting from 25 yrs of age to experienced people of 55+ yrs. The program covers the concepts of heartful communication, negotiation, delegation, leading with the heart, and servant leadership, National Education Policy along with heart-centred education coupled with Yoga & simple heartfulness meditation tools and techniques. The outcome is a 90 day post program plan the school leaders make to implement in their schools. This program also included a meeting with heartfulness guide Daaji.

 

Vow To Wow Program

From 7th to 14th November the Vow to Wow of Relationships program was conducted at Kanha by the heartfulness wellness (family connect) team. This program is tailored for young adults between the ages of 18-35. It focuses on various aspects of a relationship & marriage. It is recommended for any individual who would like to get married in the heartfulness way, anyone embarking on a new relationship or anyone having trouble in their relationship.

Various topics were addressed including social, nutrition, financial & relationship well-being. This was the 1st program of its kind post pandemic onsite at Kanha. The program was conducted by subject matter experts Dr. Snehal Deshpande, Dr. Elizabeth Denley, Dr. Poornima Madhusudan, Mr. Manish Agarwal and Mr. Pradhyumna Deepak.

They were assisted by heartfulness trainers as well as the Kanha Wellness team. It was quite an intensive workshop with loads of information, introspection, Wisdom Bridge book activities, individual meditation sessions, and yoga sessions. A successful self-development program where attendees were happy, interactive and involved. Many felt transformed and were keen to recommend this programe to others.

Agriculture Workshop

From 31st October to 4th November the Department of Agriculture, Telangana State and Heartfulness Education Trust jointly organised workshops for Agriculture Officers at Kanha Shanti Vanam. These workshops sought to update the officers on the recent developments in sustainable agriculture through hands-on training and also to make them experience the potential of meditation to lead a sustainable life. The first of these workshops had been held from 17th to 21st October.

50 Mandal Agriculture Officers attended the conference. They were trained in Hydroponics cultivation of vegetables, preparation of Biochar and its application methods, preparation of biological solutions and their usage, and Plant Tissue Culture.

The officers were also introduced to heartfulness relaxation and meditation techniques and participated in group meditation every day. They also met heartfulness guide Daaji who shared some of his thoughts on meditation & agriculture.

 

Warkari Sampradaya Visit

 

Delegates from the Warkari Sampradaya in Alandi, Maharashtra visited Kanha Shanti Vanam on the 11th of November for a 3 day stay. The Warkaris are an extremely pious and devout group that is deeply devoted to the teachings of the 12th century saint Gyaneshwar. They participated in heartfulness meditation and were touched by the welcome they received. They also met heartfulness guide Daaji and gave him prasad that they had carried from Alandi and the sacred texts of Saint Gyaneshwar. During their stay at Kanha they were given a tour of the campus and given updates of the initiatives taking place here. They look forward to working closely with heartfulness to spread the message of peace and harmony throughout the world.

 

Lunar Eclipse

 

On the 8th of November, a partial lunar eclipse was visible from Kanha Shanti Vanam. Photographer Adithya Divakar took some beautiful photographs and video of the phenomenon.

 

Other Events

Management Workshop & Plantation Drive


On 4th and 5th November, The leadership team of Nuziveedu Seeds Ltd attended a management workshop organised by the Adizes Institute in Kanha Shanti Vanam. The ambience of Kanha Shanti Vanam contributed immensely to the overall success of the workshop. The delegates enjoyed the Kanha tour and meditation. They also planted fragrant and fruiting trees in a drive organised by Heartyculture Nursery. The plantation concluded with a meditation session while sitting beside the newly planted trees.

 

Gita Recital

Sister Rampriya, lovingly known as Mai, conducted a Gita recital at Kanha Shanti Vanam from the 13th of November to 15 of November. The sessions were attended by devotees of different paths that had come together in Kanha to partake of the timeless wisdom of the Gita. Heartfulness guide Daaji also met the attendees of the program.

 

Trainer Workshop

Heartfulness Trainer Certification

53 heartfulness volunteer trainer candidates, who were trained for about six months through online learning, were invited to Kanha Shanti Vanam to get certified to work as trainers. Participants were from India and the United States. The training gave the participants ample time to practice the various techniques of trainer work before returning to their centres. This batch had several highlights starting with frequent meditations conducted by Daaji & the opportunity to conduct meditations for several guests visiting the Kanha Shanti Vanam campus. These volunteer trainers will help carry out free heartfulness meditation training in their communities.

Free Weekend Retreat

The ongoing free weekend retreat programs were continued. The objective of these programs is to introduce new seekers to heartfulness and also make them experience the Kanha campus and its various initiatives. These are conducted in 3 languages (English,Telugu and Hindi).

Day Visit of Students

On 5th November, 350 first year students and 20 faculty of J B institute of Engineering visited Kanha Shanti Vanam. They showed a lot of interest as they were given the experience of heartfulness relaxation and meditation. Many expressed interest to return to Kanha with their families. Most of them understood the benefits of meditation in improving the quality of their lives. They clicked a lot of photos and enjoyed the beautiful campus. On 6th of november students from St. Pauls High School, grade 3 to 12 , visited kanha shanti vanam. They were touched by the selfless service of the volunteers and the peaceful atmosphere. They had an interactive session with Kanha manager Capt. Vineet Ranawat where he shared his learnings from life as a sailor and as a heartfulness trainer.

 

Statewise Visits

 

From 1st to 6th Nov 2022, heartfulness practitioners from West Bengal, Sikkim, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Meghalya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Odisha visited Kanha Shanti Vanam. Heartfulness practitioners from different states of India are invited to Kanha Shanti Vanam in rotation. The Kanha team looks forward to these visits as much as the practitioners.

 

Jan Abhiyan Parishad delegation from M.P.Govt.

Kanha Shanti Vanam was honored to host a 4 member team of the Madhya Pradesh Govt. in the first half of November. The team comprised Shri Naidu, Shri Dhirendra Pandey, Dr. Jitender Jamdar, Vice Chairman, and Shri Vibhash Upadhyay, Vice President of the Jan Abhiyan Parishad. They stayed in Kanha for three days and were given a detailed tour of of the various ecological and agricultural initiatives that are taking place here. They also experienced heartfulness meditation and the unique inner energy balancing technique of heartfulness polarity. Their visit also included a meeting with heartfulness guide Daaji. They look forward to spreading the free heartfulness techniques among the people of their state to promote health and mental well-being and to sending their officers to Kanha for training.

 

Daaji’s talk to students on attitude

Heartfulness guide Daaji gave a talk to a small impromptu gathering of students near Babuji’s statue in Kanha Shanti Vanam. With crickets chirping in the background he spoke about the attitude that is most beneficial for meditation. It was too dark to make a video recording but the audio was recorded.

 

Daaji’s talk with Smt. Sudha Reddy

On the 4th of November, heartfulness guide Daaji had a conversation regarding his book The Wisdom Bridge with Smt. Sudha Reddy, at the latters home in Hyderabad.
